Massage for Pregnant Women


Massages for pregnant women can be of two types; pre-natal and post-natal. It has been proven that massage therapy during pregnancy can help lower anxiety, reduce symptoms of depression, relieve muscle pain or aches and enhance the health of the newborn. The pre-natal pregnancy massage regulates your hormones, improves nerve pain and reduces swelling.

The post natal massage is usually light massage where there is no use of knuckles or deep tissue massage techniques. It is provided to help mother relax and relieve strains of muscles of the lower back and shoulders. Other benefits of a postnatal massage are; it helps to remove the remaining blood clots in our uterus, reduction of water retention and increase blood circulation.
