General Practitioner Assessment


The General practitioner assessment is done to identify any illness or medical condition that might have generated due to the accident. They conduct a basic examination of the entire body and perform tests using medical equipment and instrument. The claimant should visit his/her general practitioner or family physician within the first six weeks of injury or pain. The assessment comprises of; physical examination, follow-up consultation, information gathering and diagnosis. After examining and testing patients, general practitioners will analyze these tests to determine the correct course of treatment or refer the patient to a specialist.
